Absolut X Iconic Design Competition Entry

My entry for the Absolut X iconic design competition for their new event series.

Some information regarding what the design challenge is all about:

“From Andy Warhol and Keith Haring to Jay-Z and Swedish House Mafia, ABSOLUT VODKA has a long history of collaborations with cultural provocateurs. With the launch of ABSOLUT X, a masquerade event series, the brand is exploring new territory by bringing together artists from three different disciplines – music, art and mixology – to create exceptional live experiences

In celebration of this unique collaboration, ABSOLUT X is inviting creatives to submit their iconic design for the chance to be produced as one of the five official ABSOLUT X posters for one of the following U.S. cities: Miami, Austin, Las Vegas, New York and Philadelphia. Designers should take inspiration from art, music OR cocktails and should illustrate what symbolizes and/or defines creativity in their selected city.”

I created this futuristic/abstract “X” design for my entry into the competition:

Absolut X New York Full

I call it “Exploding Through Barriers”; the description of my piece:

“New York City is a center of diversity, breaking through barriers with explosive creativity, inspiration and fun. To make it in this city, you need to put effort, hard work and imagination into everything you do. But once you do, this will propel you to great heights and achieve all your dreams.”

If you like this piece, I would appreciate your support by giving me some votes here: Exploding Through Barriers

I hope my piece will win, but if not, I had a fun time making it and may put up a future blog post about how this piece was created.  Thanks again!
