“Koi” Revision Artwork

One of the more difficult things I always had trouble with was using Illustrator to do my vector work.
I have always found using Flash to do vector work so much easier than using Illustrator; with Flash, you can easily bend and shape paths while in Illustrator you had to use Bezier curves/handles. I know people will always say Flash is old and this and that, but in my opinion, whatever software you can use to effectively do your work is a good software. However, since Illustrator is the industry standard for doing vector artwork, I need to learn how to use it.
While putting aside custom work, I spent some time reading, researching, practicing and learning how to use Illustrator, and tried to revise some of my older artwork. The first one done was this new version of my previous “Koi” artwork, done in Illustrator/Photoshop.
I am still reading and learning and hope to do better artwork for the future, but for now, I’m pretty satisfied with how this came out. Thanks for looking (click image to enlarge)!
